Satyanarayana Charyulu Maringanti shared a memory.
there was a fancy in my boyhood
collecting matches headless and spent
flares spent yet were riches of rabinhood
the hunt was endless, and as days went
the covers of cigarette pack joined
emptied and thrown by romeos away
were of different values for a boy astray
more of the heart than the elephant
and the Deccan the cheapest variant
of course the scissors and bristol
stand middle of mind boggling Dunhil
the ship of navy cut and flip of wills star
an amazing treasure in the trouser
the days ran like water in the clean drain
years added only smoke and dust
the young minds which went wind side
lost the luster in the careless world
of misery and vicarious skulduggery
of a not so boy of bygone seminary
