PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS
pursuit of happiness may end up in
pursuit of excellence, sense may
sprout, in seeking the meaning
of life, while you are awake as well
asleep, though the presence of mind
never go bereft of sensory body thine.
Oh soul, the bearer of light unto body,
Go awake go awake seek not thee
Another body and another time
To marvel what it could be like
To bear more of body
That thwarts thee
with grime and glee
సగ జీవితం నిదురలో విగతమయి మిగులు
పగ లో తెగ వెంపర్లాడే నిజ నైజపు తెగులో
యుగాలుగా వెదజల్లబడిన ముళ్ళపొదల్లో
కీటకంగానో ఖగనగమృగంగానో పుట్టి
భ్రమలో భ్రమరాన్నై మనసును పెంచుకు
మనిషిగా పుట్టాను కానీ పూర్వ సువాసనలు
మస్తిష్కాన్ని పట్టి పల్లార్చుతూనే వున్నాయి
నాలోంచి తొంగి చూసే పశువు కసవు మేస్తూనేవుంది
క్రిమికీటకాంశలు జాగృదమౌ తోనేవున్నాయి
వెనక్కి పరిగెట్టి మది మొదలెక్కడో పట్టుకుందామంటే
నిద్రలోనూ స్పృహా విహ్వలతే, ఏ గర్భంలో
విత్తు మొలకెత్తిందో ఏ మర్మంలో బుధ్ధి వికసించిందో
యీ జన్మలో విపుల మయ్యింది కాని
వివరము మరుస్తూనే వుంది ఏమరచి
సత్యస్పృహలో విహరించినా అది అను క్షణికమే
